Στα πλαίσια του SETN2022-12th Conference on Artificial Intelligence (https://hilab.di.ionio.gr/setn2022/), η ομάδα του ΕΚΕΦΕ Δημόκριτος ‘NanoAI’ (http://nano-ai.iit.demokritos.gr/) οργανώνει ν ημερίδα με τίτλο AI in Natural Sciences and Technology (https://ainst.scify.org/). Η ημερίδα θα αφορά την χρήση AI μεθοδολογιών σε προβλήματα φυσικών επιστημών και καλεί για την υποβολή εργασιών. Στο πλαίσιο αυτό θα θέλαμε να μάς βοηθήσετε στην επικοινώνια της ημερίδας, με την προώθηση της στο ίδρυμά σας.

Dear colleague,
On behalf of the Chair Committee of the 12th Hellenic Conference on Artificial Intelligence (SETN 2022) Workshop titled ‘AI in Natural Science and Technology’, which will be held between September 7-9, 2022 – Corfu, Greece with virtual presentation, we would like to invite you to submit your work.
The aim of the workshop is to activate and empower the – already emerging – community of natural scientists and engineers on the key role of implementing AI to a plethora of cutting-edge scientific domains and industrial processes, as well as AI researchers that understand the idiosyncrasies and challenges of applying AI methods in the area of natural sciences and engineering. The deadline for abstract submission is until April 30th, 2022.
The workshop aims to bring together AI and:
* Mathematical modeling
* Physics
* Chemistry
* Materials science and engineering
* Biology and biomedical engineering
* Pharmaceutical applications and bioinformatics
* Environmental science and engineering
* Weather and climate forecasting
* Nanotechnology
Indicative topics related to the above are:
* Adapting AI for natural sciences;
* Molecular modeling and simulation of materials and processes;
* Big, experimental data analyses (e.g. genomic data, particle physics);
* New materials design;
* Optimization of technological and industrial processes;
* Microscopy enhancement (Deep Learning Microscopy);
* Challenges of AI in natural sciences use cases;
* Quantum computation and AI;
* Error correction and noise removal.
