Manta Styliani

Dr. Styliani (Stella) Manta studied Chemistry at the University of Ioannina (2003). She obtained her Ph.D in BioOrganic Chemistry (2008) from the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, University of Thessaly. She was postdoctoral researcher in Greece, Belgium and Cyprus.

She is co-author in 50 publications in peer reviewed journals (h-index 21), she participated in 34 presentations in national and international conferences-meetings and she has translated in Greek two Organic Chemistry books.

She has participated in several research programs and her main research interests include the below:

Synthesis of modified nucleosides and glucosides with cytotoxic, antiviral and antioxidant properties.

Sugar chemistry

Synthesis of pyrrolo and quinoxaline analogues with antiviral, anticancer and antioxidant properties.
