The Environmental Pollution Control Laboratory (EPCL) was founded in 1976 and belongs to the Department of Physical, Analytical, Environmental and Educational Chemistry, School of Chemistry of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. EPCL covers research and education subjects referred to the environmental chemistry, monitoring and protection of atmospheric, aquatic and terrestrial environment. It employs all necessary infrastructures for research, being equipped with modern, sophisticated analytical instrumentation and sampling equipment. EPCL has developed significant activities and collaboration with institutions and research centersin national and international level. EPCL participates in graduated and post graduated studies in Chemistry Department as well as in other Departments of Aristotle University.
